By sunnatullah, humans were created into tribes and nations (al-Quran | surah al-Hujurat [49]: 13). However, at the same time, the Islamic ummah needs to form a unified Muslim ummah to uphold the marwah of Islam in a large community: apply Islamic teachings in a society to realize the ideals of the Islamic ummah: prosperity and justice. The question is: does the Islamic Ummah necessitate the existence of an Islamic state? In the following, several arguments about national theology will be explained.
